Testing My New Toy On the Slopes

Posted by Gurl Ryder 0 comments
I know there are many of you out there who loves snapping pictures of you and your friends posing with your boards, your new outfit, with the snow in the background or videotaping your friends hitting jibs....even yourself maybe.  I know every time I get up on the slopes, I always bring a camera with me.  I've dropped my little Sony digital camera in the snow so many times, it's been scratched up, bumped and tortured through many, many shreds.  And although I have not had any issues with the quality of pictures or videos, I decided to upgrade to a newer camera any way.

Through the experience of my friends who purchased a water proof digital camera over the summer and seeing how good the underwater pictures came out, I went and purchased one myself! After doing some research and price comparison, I chose the Olympus 1050 SW.  I had the opportunity to take my cute little black Olympus camera out on the slopes this week and was extremely satisfied with its quality!  The new tapping feature of this particular camera was what attracted me to it but since I just got it, I didn't get to study it carefully so I had some trouble using it.

Believe me, this camera stood by its every testament! It got wet from snow getting into my camera case and it was bumped a few times after a few nasty falls from hitting jibs and small jumps, but yet the pictures and videos still came out great!  I am loving my new waterproof, shockproof, and anti-freeze camera!
